REMOTE SENSING APPLICATIONS TO HYDROLOGICAL MODELING 369

Résumé

Surface te:laperature estimated from thermal infrared measurements may be used to derive real evaporation and soil moisture which are of great importance to hydrologists for the monitoring of the hydraulic budgets of soils. But, in order to introduce the surface temperatures into the hydrological models, the surface parameterizations must be changed. Presented here is how an hydrological model has been modified to simulate both the hydraulic and energy b~3dgets at the soil surface. The simulated water budgets are finally compared to the water deficit observed from space through infrared satellite data.
