Le transport à la demande comme réponse aux nouvelles mobilités urbaines

Abstract : Today, urban mobility is characterised by day and night, week and week-end journeys, suburbs to suburbs journeys and the lengthening of distances, due to periurbanization and division of trips. Classical urban transports are insufficient to answer these new mobility behaviour. In order to avoid that car becomes the only used mean of transport, the development of transport according to the demand is necessary. This report first considers transport on demand typologies. The service of the Villefranche-sur-Saône agglomeration is examined. A synthesis of advantages and disadvantages of those systems is put forward. At last, the report argues on warnings and key-success of transport on demand implementation.
