Le Transport à la Demande (TAD) en France : pistes de réflexion pour favoriser son développement et optimiser son exploitation. Étude des cas du Conseil Général du Rhône, Toulouse, Dax et Évreux

Abstract : Transport on Demand is, in France, a tool allowing, among others, to offer a service in certain areas that do not have the advantage of regular public transport. This service, based on the users request, has for main characteristic flexibility, as well as in it's form or in it's functioning. Although many services have benne developed, it seems that the results are mixed. So, the cost of this flexibility constitutes an important curb to generalize Transport on Demand services; The stake of this thesis is to explain, in a first period, the functioning of transport on demand. The study of 4 cases (Concil of Rhone, agglomerations of Toulouse, Evreux and Dax), allow analyzing the development as well as the main difficulties of these systems. Finally, the last part is dedicated to several propositions to optimize the advantages and the development of transport on demand.
