L'approche Lean : méthodes et outils appliqués aux ateliers de production pharmaceutique

Abstract : As the pharmaceutical industry evolves in an important competitive context, it's starting becoming essential for pharmaceuticals production laboratories to improve their productivity and thus their performance. Through the continuous improvement promotion and the master of process, The Lean Six Sigma approach within pharmaceuticals industry has for objective to optimize quality and cost of production at once. This thesis presents the theoretical aspect of Lean Six Sigma approaches and their complementarity. Then, the rollout of a Lean Six Sigma method thanks to the implantation on tools and adapted methods is detailed. The course of the Continuous Improvement project in factory production lines is detailed by way of Lean Manufacturing application example in pharmaceutical industry. This project integrates objectives of enhancement production capacity and focuses on the reduction of batch changes downtime. Thanks to the creation of different work teams and to the managerial team's support, some Lean Six Sigma tools have been used (such as SMED, WWWHW, standard work...). Thus during a six months period, more than 200 hours of annual production capacity have been obtained, which represents about 25k€ of benefit.
