Collaboration entre médecins généralistes et infirmières lors du suivi des patients diabétiques de type II insulino requérants : situation actuelle et perspectives d'évolution selon les médecins

Abstract : General Practitioners and nurses are health actors in town. The unfavorable demographic developments, extending the life and growth of diabetes and its complications have pushed the government to create new care structures and systems of remuneration. A qualitative study was carried out using semi-structured in eight General practitioners interviews in Haute Normandie. The goal is to have a view on the current collaboration with nurses for monitoring diabetes on insulin, and possible changes to be made. The current collaboration is not very efficient. Communication is almost nonexistent. Doctors trust nurses but know little about their training and their activities. They want more cooperation to master the development of diabetes. Therapeutic education, too little realized, will prominently. They feel tha decisions will be faster, the best organic results and the autonomy of the patient calmer. The consolidation projects are necessary to maintain access to care in the community and the quality of care. The academic training of doctors and nurses is to promote. It will overcome cultural and human constraints which can degrade the quality of this collaboration. This new medicine will have a reliable legal framework and financial recognition that does not penalize professionals. Doctors feel ready to invest in collaboration with nurses to have an efficient and fluid system, with positive results on diabetes.
