Décisions de formateurs en formation de base face à l'imprévu

Abstract : This research is an attempt to understand the decisions made by trainers teaching basic training when they encounter the unexpected. The theoretical framework is teacher thinking, along with some other theorical contributions about the unexpected. Classes given by three trainers have been observed during twenty one training lessons. This observation has been completed by semi-structured interviews. It appears that the unexpected is not so frequent in individualised teaching. Nevertheless, differences between trainers have appeared in the way they face unexpected events. Competences, which are associated to it, change from one trainer to another, and according to the situation.
