Un regard pour exister, un corps pour s'exprimer, la psychomotricité pour tout allier : mise en jeu de la corporéité dans la relation des aveugles congénitaux

Abstract : By coming into the world of blind people, we discover the particularities of the psychomotor development of congenital blind people. Therefore, we realize that both children and adults have corporal difficulties in relation with their body schema, body image or mental representation of body. With this lack of vision, how do they perceive their own body, or someone else's body? And how do they engage their body in relation? By working on a clinical study, we observe the relationship difficulties brought by the lack of vision and especially by the lack of visual imitation. Their atypical attitudes seem to be linked to the non-understanding of the social visual codes, to the insufficiency of feedback on their body image and to its lack of global and immediate representation. Psychomotor therapy proposes various sensory-motor experiences, associated by a precise verbalization and a mirror function. It increases their mental type body and acts representation and allows them to acquire a corporal communication adapted to the relation context, by creating occurrence representations.
