Conception et évaluation de la faisabilité d'un outil pédagogique d'éducation thérapeutique pour les patients atteints de rhumatisme inflammatoire chronique traités par biothérapie

Abstract : Introduction: Biologics prescription in chronic inflammatory rheumatism entailed new stakes in therapeutic patient education. There is a need for safety behaviours from patients, when handelling this products. Therefore tools allowing the acquisition by the patients of self-care and adaptation skills are needed. In the absence of a specific tool in rheumatology team of the Grenoble Teaching Hospital, our aim was to create an educational tool intended for the patients affected by chronic inflammatory rheumatisms treated by biologics and to estimate the feasibility in daily practice. Method: Our approach based itself on 1. A bibliography search targeting key messages concerning the reassurance of the patients treated by biologics on one hand, the possible educational tools on the other hand, all this crossed with 2. The experience of the team in the Patient Education. Results: The recommendations spread by the Rheumatology French Society inspired the construction of educational messages; concerning the shape of the tool, we chose a card game question-answer "EduBioT" containing various families which answer each a specific educational objective. Conclusion: The device was already tested with 13 patients to assess its acceptability and the impact. However, the tool needs to be tested on a wider sample.
