Mobilité étudiante : de l'importance de la préparation. Le cas du Kurdistan d'Irak

Abstract : The Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government has been operating a scholarship programme since 2009 ("HCDP") aimed at enabling selected candidates to further their studies abroad within the framework of academic cooperation agreements. In France, these HCDP students tend to be detached from other foreign students since they are not bound to the Erasmus scheme. This does not make their social or academic integration any easier. This is one of the findings of the questionnaire on mobility that was sent out to the HCDP students in France. On a larger scale, our dissertation deals with the importance of a thoughtful approach of international student mobility. It does also reflect on the integrative potential between a predeparture course in the country of origin and the didactic postures available in the host country - especially on the institutional level. The focus is set on two provisions meant to enhance the student's autonomy: a reflexive journal for coping with differences on the one hand; FAP courses and guiding principles on the other hand.
