La main comme vecteur d'identité : de l'attention portée à la main du patient à la clarification des identités en psychomotricité

Abstract : Considering that psychomotricity is a clinical and therapeutic approach to the person as a whole, does caring about just a part of the patient's body still deal with psychomotricity? Focusing upon the patient's hand(s) raises the question of the link between a global and a more targeted approach in a dynamics, in a process where the attention itself allows to go beyond the question of the part and the whole. Hands contain a whole lot of informations and signs that can help understand the psychological and motoric background of a person. Can paying attention to the hand(s) help define the identity of a patient or the professional identity of the psychomotor therapist, knowing that the identity is a complex, multidimensional notion?
