Facteurs de risque d'échec du traitement par sulprostone

Abstract : Objective : Highlight the failure risks of sulprostone treatment. Material and method : Retrospective and comparative study in a level 3 maternity center from July 2010 to December 2012. All postpartum haemorrhages requesting a sulprostone treatment have been studied. Then we have compared failure risks of sulprostone treatment for each risk factor. Results : Sulprostone treatment has been necessary for 25,8% of postpartum haemorrhages. The failure risk factors of sulprostone treatment were the delivery after 41SA (OR=2,9; IC [1,0-7,8]) and cesarian delivery (OR=3,4; IC [1,1-10,7]). Conclusion : Delivery after 41SA and cesarian delivery are suspected to be a cause of failure of sulprostone treatment but a large prospective study would be necessary to confirm this point.
