Évaluation gnoso-praxique linguale des enfants avec trouble structurel du langage oral

Abstract : The study of gnosis and praxis skills were carried out on children who had a structural disorder such as dysphasia and who were aged from six and half to seven and a half years old and eight and a half to nine and a half years old. In relation to prior research, we established a comparison between normal children, children undergoing speech therapy and those with dysphasia. We have observed an improvement of these skills with age, regardless of the population group. Contrary to our assumptions, the results of dysphasic children are not inferior to other populations; they generally reveal the same tendencies. An assessment of gnosis skills during a checkup by the speech therapist is therefore well advised. Even if after a certain age gnosis and praxis skills tend to become separated, it can only be beneficial if they are taken into consideration at the beginning of the patient’s treatment. This information would eventually help to define and identify the therapeutic approach from the outset and in this way facilitate the teaching of oral gnosis praxis in children with dysphasia.
