Mémoire de travail et chirurgies éveillées : évaluation pré et post chirurgie

Abstract : Recent studies have demonstrated the existence of specific cognitive deficits in the context of low-grade gliomas, including working memory. Our study aimed at developing a protocol specifically designed to asses this function. We started by identifying the disorders by comparing the pre-operative performance of patients to that of controls. The impact of awake surgery was then measured in a second post-operative evaluation. Our results confirm the presence of fine disorders and decreased performance on some tasks 4 months after surgery. Because of numerous inter-individual variations, there is a need for a tailor-made assessment tool to be able to propose a rehabilitation program that fully fits each profile.
