Début de validation d'une batterie d'évaluation de l'aphasie à la phase aiguë

Abstract : This current study intended to initiate the validation of ÉLAPA: a battery of language tests for aphasia in acute stroke, created by Dominique Benichou, speech therapist at the Nantes Hospital. The first step of our study was to conduct a survey of all speech therapists working in the French Stoke Units. It allowed us to draw up an inventory of the currently tools used for patients who could not stand the length of evaluation with the available current batteries. First, we checked the relevance of the submitted items, referring to their psycholinguistic values, in order to assess their validity. We then administer the ÉLAPA to 65 aphasic patients. Scores in the first part were correlated with a gold standard used in the decision-making of thrombolytic therapy. At the end of our study, we proved the sensitivity and validity of this first part of ÉLAPA.
