Protocole d'enrichissement lexical chez quatre enfants bilingues scolarisés en CP présentant des difficultés lexicales

Abstract : Today, bilingualism is a widespread phenomenon, and speech therapists treat more and more bilingual children who may have learning difficulties, especially in L2. This study is about a eight-week lexical training program given to a group of four bilingual children in their first year of primary school who suffer from lexical restriction. We compared two strategies for teaching vocabulary: the semantic and the phono-semantic matching methods. Every week we presented them with ten words in and out of context. The findings revealed the effectiveness of the training program both on the receptive and the productive levels and also showed that two months later the improvements persisted for receptive vocabulary. We have not been able to evidence, immediately after training and two months later, a word frequency effect or a method effect for all of these children.
