Quels sont les freins et les limites de la dispensation du traitement de substitution aux opiacés dans les pharmacies d'officines ?

Abstract : In France, since the 1970s, opiate users, can give up on drugs if they wish to, in the best conditions possible. It is through policies such as risk reduction policy that rules appear in France about the issue of injection equipment and substitution treatment in pharmacies. However, despite a string of actors trying to be the most supportive, professional and the closest to their patients, malfunction within this system remain, affecting the patients. These difficulties mainly arise at the time the opiate substitution treatment is issued by the pharmacist. Indeed, some pharmacists refuse to provide the patients with this kind of treatment, using various arguments as an excuse for their behavior. To highlight these issues and try to suggest possible improvements on how to deal best with drug users, a survey has been carried out among pharmacy owners in Grenoble and Toulouse areas mainly. The survey shows four main arguments mentioned by pharmacists for refusing to issue this substitution treatment: the lack of demand, the fear of problems, the lack of information and training of pharmacists, and more pharmaceutical, administrative and logistic related issues. The proposed solutions are organized around these four axes.
