Observatoire de la flore urbaine par les gestionnaires d'espaces verts dans le cadre du programme de sciences participatives Florilèges

Abstract : Recently, ecologists began to be interested in urban ecosystem, et more particularly in the study of urban spontaneous flora. In France too, this interest began to grow. Facing the necessity to gather an important quantity of data in order to know the urban spontaneous flora in a national scale, some research programs turned toward citizen science. One of them, the Florilèges program is addressed to green spaces managers. Initiated in 2012, the Florilèges program includes two parts: a first part which deals with spontaneous flora in streets, and a second one, which deals with spontaneous flora in urban meadows. One aim of this program is to realize an inventory of the urban spontaneous flora in a national scale. Another aim is to know how management of green spaces influences this flora. And, to finish, data about the perception of this flora are gathered. Using the first results of this program we will try to determine how citizen science can inform us about urban spontaneous flora, factors influencing it, and how it is perceived.
