Critique et analyse des bases de données sur les catastrophes naturelles pour la caractérisation des événements hydro-météorologiques à fort impact socio-économiques

Abstract : The aim of this inttrnship, carried out in the "Laboratoire d'Etudes des Transferts en Hydrologie et Environnement " (LTHE), is to identify and cross-reference information from different existing databases, focusing on the impacts of catastrophic hydro-meteorological events occuring in the south of France (Ardèche, Drôme, Gard, Hérault et Vaucluse). This study consists of three steps : the collect and homogenization of data from the different databass in order to better apprehend their differences (i.e. criteria used to classify each event ; duration of the event ; location ; nature of the consequences...), the design and realization of the methodology wich will serve as a tool for the construction of a compiledd database of events and an analysis based on spatio-temporal criteria in order to identify the physical and social circumstances that appear to be associated with events presenting the strongest socio-economic impacts.
