Sauvegarde du Crapaud calamite (Epidalea calamita) dans les zones agricoles du Canton de Genève en Suisse

Abstract : Between lacks and mountains, the Geneva canton of Switzerland is a rich territory with an extraordinary biodiversity. But it is so attractively that the land pressure and the urbanization cause the intensification of the agricultural system. This biodiversity is in danger. In a sustainable development context, an association acts for the preservation of the herpetofauna: KARCH-GE, the association for amphibian’s and reptile’s study and protection. Nevertheless, my mission was only about the Southwest. You can discover the question which was the common thread of my report: how to connect ecology and methodology to make Natterjack toad (Epidalea calamita) comfy in agricultural zones of Gevena canton? This statement gives you the methodology and the first results about: the prospecting, the argumentation to convince the farmers to preserve or to create plans of water, the preparation of ecological horse troughs and the decision-making support.
