Développement et caractérisation de deux fluxmètres gazeux pour la mesure de faibles débits référencés à la pression atmosphérique

Abstract : Measurements of low gas flow rates referred to atmospheric pressure have been poorly characterized thus far. In the context of European research projects, some national metrology institutes are deepening their knowledge to meet traceability requirements of leak flow rates regardless of the type of gas. At the Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais (LNE), traceability is well established for flow measurements of the refrigerant gas R-134a, between 3 10-10 mol s-1 to 1; 5 10-8 mol s-1, using a infrared flowmeter. Moreover, LNE also has a constant pressure flowmeter for flow measurements between 4 10-10 mol s-1 à 8,2 10-7 mol s-1 for any gas . The aim of the first part of this study is to extand an infrared flowmeter for flow measurement of CO2. The second part is the metrological characterization of the constant pressure flowmeter for measurement of gas flow rates referred to atmospheric pressure. Comparisons between these two primary flow rates standards are performed in their common measurements range with transfer leaks using R-134a and CO2. Additional measurements performed with a capillary leak previously calibrated with helium and R-134a by the Italian metrology institute, for the purposes of a joint research project, ensure the metrological validation of the uncertainty's calculation established for the LNE flowmeters.
