Les indicateurs dans les systèmes d'information hospitaliers dans le domaine de l'imagerie médicale : revue de littérature

Abstract : Information systems first appeared in the early 80's and have now been integrated into the hospital organization. They are an important part of the national public health program. However, the assessment of hospital patient management still remains a fundamental problem. In order to optimize care systems and patient management it was therefore necessary to define and analyze indicators for the [evaluation of hospital information systems (HIS) to guide further studies and implement improvements. In the field of medical imaging, the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) has now been coupled to radiology information system (RIS). The purpose of this integration was to combine the performance of medical examinations, picture archiving and distribution within the same hospital. Objective: The aim of our literature review was to identify the various practical indicators of HIS in the field of medical imaging. Methods PubMed computerized database was explored between November 2014 and January 2015 based on a request with the following MeSH terms: "radiology information system", "program evaluation", "evaluation studies as topic". Results: A total of 986 articles were retrieved and analyzed. Forty-three were then selected, which were subdivided into 12 indicators which were classified into 4 major classes: quality, delay, management and TT cost indicators. Each of these indicators was assessed and grouped into tables indicating the impact of the HIS location. Couclusion: The impact of the HIS evaluation of in the field of medical imaging based on defined 1 indicators seems to vary depending on the authors. Further studies are warranted to further improve patient care as well as medical and economic management of the national health system.
