Réhabilitation prothétique chez une patiente souffrant de dystonie primaire idiopathique congénitale généralisée accompagnée de mouvements choréiques

Abstract : Idiopathic generalized dystonia is a rare movement disorder characterized by involuntary, repetitive, sustained muscle contractions or postures involving more sites of the body. To the dentist, it’s mostly jaw, tongue, head and neck movements and facial grimacing caused by involuntary spasms of the masticatory, facial, pharyngeal, lingual, eyelid and lip muscles which concerned. Such distorsions make dental treatment difficult. This case was treated with maxillar complete removable prosthesis and mandibular partial removable prosthesis which enabled functional and aesthetic rehabilitation.
