Les pathologies des châteaux d'eau en béton armé

Abstract : The construction of concrete water towers was extremely popular in France in the middle of the twentieth century. Today the majority of these constructions is still in use and related disorders undergoing their operation and wear. These disorders are mainly structural and related to the waterproofness. The main factors degrading the tank and the tower was taken from the water aggressiveness, techniques of cleaning and disinfection of tanks, for the interior, and exposure to altitude, sunshine differential, the freeze / thaw cycles, weather (snow and wind) to the outside. In addition, conclusions about the behavior of a structure need to control the structural, environmental, etc. The tasks of inspection and diagnosis are clearly in a process to make an inventory of the work. To respond optimally to the various problems, it is necessary to make a choice of investigations and sound analysis of the disorders. These missions are a decision support for the client. The repair and reinforcement take into account all the recommendations made at the close of the diagnosis. This work can restore the structure, and comfort for extended use and durability.
