Utilisation hors AMM du tacrolimus dans le traitement du vitiligo

Abstract : Vitiligo is an acquired, chronic pigmentary disorder clinically characterised by the development of white non-scaly macules. The white macules are due to the loss of functioning melanocytes. Even though it is the most common depigmentary disease, its etiology remains unclear. The treatments currently in use consist in topical steroids, phototherapy and skin or stem grafts. None of these treatments has been proved entirely satisfactory. However, the implementation of calcineurin inhibitors, such as tacrolimus, in the management of the disease has shown promising results.
