La carte mentale comme outil d'apprentissage en orthographe grammaticale : les homophones ont/on et l'accord dans le groupe nominal

Abstract : Because pupils of elementary school encounter many difficulties in spelling, the today teaching methods must develop new packages to stimulate their interest. In order to reach this goal, the use of the mind map as a tool can be relevant. In fact, it leads them to manipulate language in a different way and I was particularly interested in the study of the homophones ont/on and of the agreement in the noun phrase. I chose to use the mind map with pupils of CE2-CM1 to deal with these two notions. They used the mind map during dictation and also during its correction, which was either individual or in groups of three or four. The mind map enables to organize the criteria more easily in spelling and this particular presentation seems to be more comprehensible for pupils of this age. Gradually, this tool develops reflex and reinforces pupils’ memorization.
