Cette étude s'intéresse à la rentabilité du système de ventilation active (AVS) Van Dijk et de la serre semi-fermée Ultraclima® par rapport à une serre classique sur une culture de tomates hors-sol sous serre verre dans la région nantaise Il apparaît que ces deux matériels permettent de réduire les coûts de fonctionnement d'une culture de tomates Une économie d'environ 1,51?/m² avec l'AVS et 0,86?/m² avec la serre semi-fermée est réalisable sur l'ensemble d'une culture. Cette baisse des coûts est due à une économie de gaz significative grâce à ces deux systèmes qui valorisent mieux le chauffage basse température. D'autre part, la serre semi-fermée permet d'augmenter le chiffre d'affaires de 4,49?/m² tandis que l'AVS n'a pas d'incidence significative sur ce résultat. Cependant, l'AVS coûte 10?/m² de plus qu'une serre classique à l'installation et la serre semi-fermée coûte 30?/m² supplémentaires, de nouveaux systèmes sont régulièrement développés pour améliorer la production sous serreinvestissement dans une serre semi-fermée sera amorti en moins de 6 ans avec des profits non négligeables ensuite, ce qui en fait un matériel rentable ,
