L'éclaircissage du pommier : la métamitrone, un outil d'avenir ?

Abstract : Apple Thinning involves the removal of buds, flowers and / or fruit in order to get a good crop. This practice can be done manually, mechanically or with chemical lighteners. In 2007, carbaryl, widely used substance is forbidden. Other active ingredients continue to be applied as benzyladenine or naphthalene acetic acid. But the results are not always satisfactory. Hence the arrival metamitron, photosynthesis inhibitor, as lightening promising. The aim of the study is to develop an optimal strategy incorporating metamitron for three varieties: Ariane, Fuji and Gala. But also to establish if variables such as solar radiation (W / m²), temperature over 24 hours and night and relative humidity influence the efficacy of metamitron. For Ariane and Fuji the strategy with the most significant results is: (ANA + 6-BA) at 6-8 mm, followed by metamitron at 8-10 mm at a dose of 330 ppm ; for Gala: an application of a mixture (ANA + 6-BA) at 6-8 mm followed by metamitron at 8-10 mm 247.5 ppm. A weak correlation was found between the efficacy of thinning metamitron and low brightness in 5 days after the application of lightening. No correlation was found between the other meteorological parameters and efficacy of thinning.
