Établissement de protocoles de suivi de végétation : le cas du massif de la Dent de Rez

Abstract : Dry grasslands of the Massif of Dent de Rez (Natura 2000) are threatened by encroachment from agricultural decline. The Management Union of Ardèche Gorges attempts to maintain this openness and linked community interest habitats with gyrobroyage and grazing operations. The population of Lavandula angustifolia of Dent de Rez tray declines at the limit of the geographical distribution area. In this report four perennial protocols were setup addressing the need of the manager for monitoring the evolution of the vegetation, evaluating the effectiveness of the management and management assistance tools Four protocols are developed here: a map of the encroachment by photo interpretation; L. angustifolia population mapping; Precise tracking of encroachment and gyrobroyage impact by transect, and precise tracking of way and causes of L. angustifolia decline by the same method.
