Caractérisation physique et perceptive des sources de bruit industriel

Abstract : Interested in sustainable development, EDF R&D has been dealing with the acoustical impact of their industrial plants for many years. In this context, a study aimed at a noise index representative of the annoyance due to numerous and various noise sources of an industrial site. First some industrial noises were recorded and analyzed (physically and perceptually). Then, in order to deal with the variety of industrial sources, a new protocol was set up: best annoyance indicators were determined for each family of a perceptual typology. The two goals of this internship were: determining whether or not this typology is robust enough; constructing a method for automatically classifying industrial sounds according to this typology. We found that the typology works fine only for some specific sounds. Thus, it proved to be difficult toestablish an effective method for classifying industrial noises.
