ALGOID, Programming Turtle

Abstract : The Algoid project is composed of a programming language and its dedicated IDE that aims together to simplify the programming apprenticeship for beginners. The main axis of the language is to be composed by a large panel of paradigms and idioms while simplifying their approach through a clear and consistent syntax inspired by industrial standards. The IDE integrates several advanced features that help to understand how works a program ; like debugger, step-by-step execution and scope explorer. Algoid allows students to create some different programs; from moving little turtle, to creating graphical calculators or some video games, all this directly from ultra portable Smartphones and cheap computers like the Raspberry PI. As Algoid is portable and can be embedded, it offers a lot of involving opportunities, like logic implementation in robotic domain.
