Diversité des loci de résistance quantitative à la rouille brune pour une sélection de variétés de blé tendre à résistance plus durable

Abstract : Leaf rust, induced by the pathogen Puccinia triticina, can cause severe yield damages on susceptible cultivars of bead wheat without pesticides treatments. Qualitative resistant genes permit an effective control of the disease but most of them are quickly bypassed by the pathogen and thus not sustainable. Using and diversifying quantitative resistance sources (QRL) would improve the sustainability of resistance to leaf rust. In order to identify sources of quantitative resistance, 6 bread wheat populations obtained from parents with different resistance levels to leaf rust were studied. Each population was genotyped with an SNP chip and phenotyped for quantitative resistance in different field locations and on different dates. Genotypes and phenotypes data were used to detect QRL by linkage analysis for each population and conditions. 15 different QRL were found; 2 were common to several populations and some were epidemic stage specifics. The QRL found in the 5 populations sharing the same sensitive parent might be linked to a susceptibility gene. QRL were located on a consensus map created with the different populations andprovide diversified sources of quantitative resistance from various resistant parents.
