Emploi de déchets dans la constitution de sol support de croissance des végétaux ligneux en milieu contrainte : approche expérimentale

Abstract : Current installation techniques of ligneous plants in urban environment use materials whose origin and nature have a high economic and ecological cost. Moreover, not being renewable, there is a significant risk of them getting rarer in a relatively close future. The use of waste materials as raw material to build urban anthroposols seem to palliate the drawbacks of the usual methods. The goal of this study is to compare the development of ligneous plants, in this case Acer platanoides, after one year of growth on two waste-based soil-stones mixtures and the one used by the Parks Department of Angers (France). Biomass and architecture of the trees serve as development and growth indicators. They have been linked to soil physicochemical fertility parameters in order to determine if they are a satisfying alternative to usual soil-stone mixture. In addition, a measurement protocol of roots by image analysis has been developed to allow qualitative measurement of plant ditch colonisation by the root systems of the trees during subsequent studies. Tested mixtures give similar results to the control and could therefore be considered as a substitute to usual mixtures but only the pursuit of the study will confirm that fact.
