Élaboration d'un substitut osseux sur mesure par prototypage rapide

Abstract : The alveolar bone defects are frequent in the field of the oral surgery. They raise problems for the rehabilitation of function and aesthetics of the patient. Conventional techniques for the repair of bone defects present some risks and limitations, namely the morbidity of the bone samples and the reconstruction limited to small or average areas with autografts, and an infectious and immunological risk always possible for allografts. They also present difficulties of shaping and adaptation to the bone defects. The new methods of 3D printing allow to realize bone scaffolds with a better control of the internal and external architecture. These scaffolds can be used for clinical purposes or for research in tissue engineering. The aim of this work was to design and fabricate custom PLA bone scaffolds through a 3D printing technique (FDM) and from radiological images.
