Faire ses premiers pas en anglais à l'aide de la gestuelle

Abstract : We know how gestures are importance in communication. They are necessary from the early stage of learning the mother language : children use gestures before words. They are used also in addition of the verbal communication between two people. I want to know if gestures are as helping in learning a foreign language than in learning the mother language. By the setting up of English lessons with a lot of gestures, games and mimed songs, I wanted to know if the memorization of the English vocabulary would be easier for the pupils. It seems that gesture helps children in the learning of English for production and understanding. However, even with this approach it is more difficult for children to learn structures. The use of gesture is relevant and advantageous for the young children and people who study a foreign language for the first time. It seems interesting to introduce this method in all the teachings.
