Bilan d'activité périnéale‎ : l'apport de tests du contrôle moteur postural dans l'évaluation de l'incontinence urinaire. Étude observationnelle multicentrique chez des patientes continentes et des patientes incontinentes urinaires

Abstract : Subject: To urinary incontinent patient, the only examination proposed in perineal reeducation assessment is the digital vaginal palpation. Methodology: We realized an observational, prospective and multicenter study based on 35 continents or incontinent patients who saw two freelance midwifes and two freelance physiotherapists. The reason of their visit was either post-natal visit or perineal reeducation. The aim of this study is to assess whether reproducible and reliable clinical tests using postural control can be used in addition to manuel pelvic floor muscles (PFM) testing. In order to that, we used single balance test and the electromyographic activity measurements of PFM during automatic contractions (standing position with the ankles dorsiflexed and unipodal standing). Results, discussion: The aim risk factors are vaginal and previous urinary incontinence. PFM activity is better in standing position than supine position. Digital vaginal palpation and single balance test make urinary incontinence diagnosis easier. They assess different functions of the pelvic floor muscles. Their results are not automatic activity than incontinent women. The population sample size is however not sufficient. There is a need to increase the number of patients to confirm these results. Conclusion: To conclude, the association between targeted anamnesis with, vaginal palpation and postural tests assessment improves the diagnosis of the pelvic floor muscles dysfunction in urinary incontinence.
