Ap-prendre la parole en cours d’anglais

Abstract : It’s undeniable that the human being is born to speak. The important diversity of languages in the world can prove it. In this connection, Aristotle said “Man is a social animal”. Yet, it’s not an easy thing to do for a teacher to make all the pupils participate during a class including the shy ones and the reluctant ones. Our language reveals our thoughts, our emotions and above all our deepest identity. So, it’s a real challenge to make all the pupils participate while they are still constructing themselves and looking for their true identity. This paper exposes some lines of thoughts in order to encourage pupils to participate during an English class through a presentation of several theories taken from scientific literature as well as from my own experiences in my classes.
