Confluence à Genève : entre désirs des habitants et grands projets urbains, quel avenir pour la Pointe de la Jonction ?

Abstract : Places of confluence, at the junction of territories, have often been marginalized over the past century. Separated from the city by their geographical location they have long hosted noisy, hazardous or burdensome activities, which were set away from the historic center. It was therefore common to find industries, artillery or wholesale markets. The declining industrial age enabled to free these territories in favor of new uses and land use. Cities in quest of metropolization have captured these opportunities in order to develop ambitious urban renewal projects. Will Geneva do the same with the « Pointe de la Jonction » peninsula?
