Évaluation de protocoles pour la qualité de service dans les réseaux de capteurs sans fils

Abstract : Since a few years, sensors become pervasive in our daily lives and applications based on these devices continue to multiply in different domains. This leads us to the world of the Internet of Things where any device can be connected to a network. In this type of network, data is transmitted continuously and managing them is different depending on the context. In some cases, database management systems (DBMS) are privileged and in others cases, data stream management system (DSMS) are used. Whatever the system used, applications require a level of service for sensor networks. In fact, sensors face several factors that can impact the quality of service, including faults. Many metrics are introduced to assess the reliability of the system. A main element which impacts the quality of service is the energy. In fact, this is generally a limited resource and defines the lifetime of sensors. Sensinode try to implement 6LoWPAN technology through its sensor kit, Nanosensors. We have taken this material and we studied and enhance its performance on the data management, quality of service and energy conservation. All these elements are described in this document.
