Le tutorat pour développer l'autonomie à l'école maternelle

Abstract : The school has for its mission the achievement of all pupils, in order to prepare them to their future social and personal life. Its goal is to instruct and to give them an education so they can become liable and autonomous people. Consequently, the teacher has to find effective and stimulating subjects to accomplish this task. Through the dissertation, I have tried to analyse the pedagogic relevance of the tutoring program in my multi-grade class, in order to develop the children's autonomous behaviour and learning process. My aim was to determine if, by introduction of such activities, pupils would succeed gradually to do tasks without the help of older or more educated students. The result shows us that tutoring can be successful, for both the classroom environment and for the skills and attitudes development that allow pupils to progress in their autonomy quest. However, in order to measure its real benefits, it's necessary to implement it in perfectly controlled conditions before the project.
