Étude et réalisation d'une instrumentation en vue de l'analyse du comportement d'une presse haute pression grand volume

Abstract : In order to reproduce deep-earth conditions corresponding to those found within the earth’s mantle, scientists often use so-called “large volume high pressure” presses. One such press is used on the ID06 beamline of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble, France. It has been equipped with a control system that monitors deformation of the press during operation. The corresponding data acquisition system is based on strain gauges. The data signals emanating from this instrumentation were processed together with data from the automated control system for tool displacements and hydraulic pressure of actuators. The analysis of these signals showed us that the overall mechanical structure remains within its elastic deformation zone, and highlighted the presence of transient events
