This dissertation is treating about specific characteristics of horses as a living mediating tool in psychomotor therapy. The horse is helping the practitioner to reach out to his patient, challenging him in physical and emotionnal experiences.
In his interations with the horse, the patient has to establish an other form of communication as only non verbal interaction are possible. Interacting with the animal, the patient will be able to identify similarities they share as much as differencies pulling them appart. Thanks to horses, the subject will awake to his own self awarness.
If the relationship with the horse exist thanks to the qualities owned by the animal, mediation is only possible when the psychomotor therapist is handling the process facilitating the meeting and supporting the psychomotor experiences of the patient.
