Quand la mémoire s’envole et que les sensations demeurent… Apport de l’approche snoezelen dans la prise en charge psychomotrice de personnes âgées atteintes d’Alzheimer

Abstract : Alzheimer's disease causes cognitive impairments resulting in a growing loss of autonomy leading to identity issues. Thus the individual suffering from Alzheimer’s will slowly lose self-confidence and become insolated. This person will then slowly cease to act on one’s environment; its sensorial stimuli will diminish despite being an essential part of being and feeling alive. During this thesis, I intend to present the contribution of snoezelen, a controlled multisensory environment, through the psychomotor therapy. This line of work approaches human beings in a holistic way.
