Comment des parcs de loisirs de plein air peuvent-ils contribuer au maintien et/ou à l'amélioration de la richesse biologique ? L'exemple d'une pinède méditerranéenne

Abstract : Today, representing 30% of French territory, forests are multi-functional spaces which blend productive, social and environmental purposes. Located at the gates of cities, some of which have been specifically planned, they have developed a recreational function that outweighs the production one. The Mediterranean forests have the same dynamic, especially the garrigue, identity areas of Gard. Once catered for by agriculture, their biodiversity is decreasing progressively. Many pinewoods are structuring landscape in Gard. It is in this context that pinewood of Poulx takes place. Unique public green space, it is the link between urban fabric and non-residential wild garrigue. Having reached maturity, its future is questionable. Trees are declining. Its rehabilitation is the time to examine practices and natural regeneration of such a space, which both play an undeniable social and environnemental part. Thus, the present landscape project aims at providing a new dialogue between people and their territory marked by garrigues.
