Incidence des formes chroniques de la ciguatera au sein de la population réunionnaise de 2000 à 2014

Abstract : The ciguatera is a polymorphic affection bound to the ingestion of specific toxin present in certain usually healthy coral fishes. It is a frequent pathology of the tropical and subtropical regions, rarely mortal but the morbidity of which represents a real cost of public health in the concerned regions. The extension of the affected zones, by a most probably multifactorial mechanism make a not exceptional poisoning in regions except zone of endemic disease. The ciguatera is defined as an acute poisoning the resolution of which is usually made in a few days but certain cases of chronic infringement were brought back in the literature. This thesis is a retrospective study on a troop of 141 patients having declared a case of ciguatera during 2000s in 2014 to define the incidence of these chronic forms and to highlight factors associated to the chronicisation.
