Modulation de l'espace-classe durant la séance. Son impact en termes de temps et de réussite

Abstract : Most research studies have aimed at advocating a specific classroom seating arrangement over another. Yet, it seems that each seating arrangement has its advantages and drawbacks, to such an extent that the discussions have never attained unanimity. This shortcoming is probably due to the fact that classroom environments are often considered fixed whereas it seems possible from a pragmatic standpoint to consider that a classroom can be modulated according to the specific requirements of the activity thus allowing secondary teachers to make the best of the various seating arrangements. Consequently, we shall examine to what extent seating arrangement can be progressively modulated to serve an activity of picture analysis and description in foreign language class in secondary schools.
