Analyse et renforcement d’un bâtiment existant soumis à une extension et aux nouvelles normes sismiques

Abstract : Several buildings present in areas subjected to new harsh seismic zones are inadequate. In addition, the human and economic losses in recent earthquakes show a paramount need for strengthening. So if the structure is subjected to new loads, static (extensions or change in use of the structure) or dynamic, it is necessary to interfere and strengthen the existing. Recently, deep researches are proceeding to find the most effective methods of bracing and strengthening. However, no method can be useful unless the engineer knows the level of rigidity, geometry and mechanical characteristics of his structure. In this thesis, the characteristics of the various intervention techniques are discussed such as surveys, bracing and reinforcement methods, plus a guide to the seismic design that directs our design.
