Fin de vie et précarité : étude descriptive en Lits Halte Soins Santé (LHSS) ou Centre d’Accueil d’Urgence (CAU) au foyer Leydet Bordeaux entre le 1er juin 2013 et le 15 juillet 2016

Abstract : Introduction: the end of life and the death wasn’t uncommon in situations of social precarity. Method: a restrospective study was realized, analyzing the files of 18 people, diying between 1 June 2013 and 16 July 2016, who are all hosted in Leydet’s social home. The main objective of this study was to discover the main characteristics (social, médical and psychological) about this people. Results: the medium age at death was 54,8 years. The addictions and the chronic disease were over-represented. The main cause of death were cancer’s evolution and alcool complication’s. In end of life, 5 patients were evaluated by palliative care staff and 6 patients have a protocol of therapeutic limitation. 10 people dying in hospital center and 5 of them dying in palliative care services. Conclusion: following people in wandering situation is difficult. Coordination and formation of health and social professionals are important to cure and care effectively this population. 3 syndromic situations have been identified in the study, allowing to optimize the actions of the professionals. Communication between professionals of precarity and palliative care was necessary to elaborate the life project and the care project of this precarious people.
