Co-construire la ville de demain : une évaluation de la redynamisation du centre-ville d'Alès

Abstract : The revitalization of Ales city center is described as a coproductive project. We define the coproduction as a situation that gathers different stakeholders: political actors, technical experts (as design office), and the civil society. Thus, these actors build strong relationships, to lead commons objectives. The coproduction refers to several elements such as: representative democracy in opposition to direct democracy. The case study of Ales is even more interesting in an urban context where there is not an universal definition of this concept. Consequently, the aim of this report is to evaluate the coproduction of the revitalization of Alès city center to define this concept and understand how the civil society is included is such process.
