Traitement des lésions d’usure : survie des restaurations par méthodes directes et indirectes en matériaux composite. Revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Objective : To study the survival of restorations by direct and indirect methods of composite resin for the restoration of wear lesions. Materials and methods: A systematic review of the literature with the electronic databases PubMed and Scopus. Results : Among 70 articles, 10 scientific studies were selected for our systematic review (7 prospective studies and 3 retrospective studies). All 10 studies collected 2294 direct or indirect resin composite restorations in 296 patients with follow-up periods of 6 months to 10 years. The results of the included studies showed a great diversity in the results with survival rates ranging from 44% survival at 2 years to 62% at 10 years. Conclusion : These composite materials seem to be a viable solution in the short and medium term in a dental wear situation. Only the level of evidence is limited because the samples are often small and there are very few long-term studies. Long-term follow! -up is therefore necessary to confirm these results
