Intérêts d'une matrice dermique acellulaire xénogénique (Mucograft ® ) dans le gain de tissu kératinisé péri-implantaire

Abstract : Once the teeth have been extracted, periodontal tissue resorption is observed, which can lead to a keratinized mucosa deficit when implanting dental implants. In case of deficiency or loss of this keratinized gingiva, the gold standard is the realization of an autograft of tissue generally taken from the palate. In order to avoid a second operative site, a new xenogeneic acellular dermal matrix, Mucograft® appeared. Its architecture differs from other matrix in its collagen bilayer. The objective of this work was to carry out a systematic review of the literature to determine whether the Mucograft® matrix allows real tissue gain in the presence of dental extraction or implant surgery. Thus, the studies tend to show that there is a real gain of keratinized gingiva after the realization of a graft of a xenogeneic acellular dermal matrix. This gain in keratinized gingiva seems comparable to that of an autologous gingival transplant. These promising results are to be qualified by the small number of studies, small samples and a short-term clinical experience
